I had to think long and hard about this one. I have cheated slightly and squished the Harry Potter books down into one book. Otherwise I only have three spaces to play with. Likewise the Hunger Games trilogy. They take up one space to give me more space.
- The Harry Potter series by J. K Rowling. Simply stunning storytelling from start to end.I think I’m still a little bit in awe of them.
- The Humger Games trilogy by Suzanne Collins. These books were my introduction to the dystopian genre. I love them! Katniss is one of my favourite female protagonists.
- The Surgeon by Tess Getritsen. This book introduces us to Rizzoli and Isles. A truly brilliant crime thriller.
- The Apprentice by Tess Gerritsen. The gripping follow up to The Surgeon.
- The Sinner by Tess Gerritsen. The first full novel where Jane and Maura work together.
- Body Double by Tess Gerritsen. This is as far as I’ve got in the Rizzoli and Isles series and I’m really looking forward to more.
- Silent Scream by Angela Marsons. Her debut novel. The one that introduced D.I Kim Stone to us. A really stellar read.
- Evil Games by Angela Marsons. This is the second D.I Kim Stone novel. As utterly gripping as the first.
- Eeny Meeny by M.J Arlidge. This book introduces us to D.I Helen Grace, another strong, female detective.
- Postmortem by Patricia Cornwell. The first Kay Scarpetta novel I ever read.
The Hunger Games trilogy was my introduction, too!!!!!!!
